Hello! I grew up in Edinburgh, where I attended local primary and secondary schools. I have always been interested in the physical sciences and the outdoors, which led me to the Earth Sciences. I did my undergraduate in Oxford before moving to Cambridge for my PhD. I had a great four years at Magdalene College and in the Earth Sciences department and enjoyed travelling the country and competing in the annual varsity matches with the university hockey team. Another highlight of my time was (re-)crossing the border each year to help out on the annual undergraduate field trip to the Isle of Arran. Since graduating I have moved to Berlin to take up a post-doctoral position at the German Centre for Geoscience Research. I’m looking forward to helping fellow Scots on their way to Cambridge!
