Mentors

Applicants or prospective applicants often find it useful to talk to a current undergraduate or recent graduate from Cambridge to get a feel for life at the University, to hear tips about the application process and to practice discussing their subject in depth.

CAMScot can arrange matching with current Cambridge students or alumni for this purpose. Register here as an applicant or prospective applicant and select matching with a mentor on the form and you will be contacted with further details.

We recommend at least four discussion sessions with your mentor to cover Cambridge life, the application process (including personal statements), critical thinking and the written assessments. Further contact will be as you both agree. The mentoring programme generally runs between June and October each year.

One-to-one mentoring is subject to safeguarding controls for young people as outlined in our Safeguarding Policy.
