I am from Edinburgh and I attended Boroughmuir High School. Leaving school, I knew I wanted to do something within the physical sciences and in 2021 I started a degree in Natural Sciences at St Catharine’s college, Cambridge. 

I am studying chemistry, earth sciences and materials science. I really enjoy the flexibility of the Natural Sciences degree and being able to study new subjects. 

Since coming to Cambridge I’ve learnt how to row and have competed for my college throughout the year. 

I’ve been really lucky to experience a bit of normal Cambridge life in my first year, in spite of the pandemic. I’ve had in person lectures and practicals and I even got to attend a field trip to Arran at Easter. 

I’ve loved my time at Cambridge so far and I am more than happy to talk about my experiences in applying and studying here.
